Fabric Engineer / Handyman - North East - £25,000We are currently working with a leading FM organisation who are recuiting for a Fabric Engineer/Handyman to support across range of commercial premises in the North East. The client are a national organisation and have a long term contract in place to maintain 10+ facilities in North East which were originally built by the construction side of the business. This is a PFI contract so any experience in similar contracts or fast paced environments would be great.Your role:The main purpose of the job is to undertake joinery, building fabric and other planned maintenance, reactive and other tasks as directed by Operational Management.Your day to day duties will include:Carry out joinery and building fabric planned/reactive/additional works in medical and educational buildings, including minor works, repairs, fault finding and fault diagnosis.Ensure compliance with the relevant industry regulations at all times, and that the appropriate materials used.To be fully conversant with all aspects of joinery and building fabrics installation works for domestic and commercial properties.Attend any tasks issued which may include non-joinery or fabric tasks for which the post holder has the necessary skills andknowledge to undertake.Read and interpret engineering drawings and building plans.Working hours will be based on a rotational shift pattern and will include weekend work and participation in an on-call rota.A full clean driving licence will be required as successful application will be expected to do some driving in company vehiclesto visit other sites and suppliers.Any job offer will be dependent on the successful applicant clearing a PVG Disclosure check.Requirements:Experienced working in a building services roleExcellent Customer ServicePrevious experience of working within a team.Benefits:Asides from a competitive salary this role offers a range of fantastic benefits:28 days holidayFree private healthcarePensionCompany vehicle/Fuel cardCompany phone/tabletPlease get in touch if you are interested - 07827940782.Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
