Applications are invited for the post of External Verifier for SQA’s suite of SVQ and HN Waste Management (VG 365) qualifications.Applicants will be expected to have sufficient, verifiable, relevant experience and knowledge of the qualifications to be verified and have knowledge and understanding of the sector. In addition, applicants must be currently delivering or have recently delivered these qualifications or closely related courses.An External Verifier is responsible for external verification and qualification approval activities under the conditions, timescales and arrangements set by SQA.The prime role is to participate in verification of qualifications in the subject area(s) concerned to ensure that standards are maintained. Please click here for details of the EV contract specification and selection criteria.Applicants must hold or be prepared to work towards the relevant External Verifier Learning & Development unit as this is an SQA requirement.Applicants must also be prepared to participate in training and or professional activities to meet continuing professional development requirements. Additional time in applicants' own time will also be required to fulfil the duties of this post. After successful completion of SQA's Induction process the applicant will receive training in the role and work within a team of subject professionals.
