About The Role To control the Environmental Management System at Barton All reports are written and forwarded to the regulator within the required timeframe To provide technical advice, acting as a key point of contact for site environmental impacts To assist the site HSE Manager and advise on aspects of environmental significance To own the EMS for the manufacturing site, and ensure legal compliance in accordance with the IPPC Ensure all employees are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities and understand the requirements of company environmental procedures and guidance notes Responsible for undertaking regular environmental audits and inspections to monitor compliance with environmental legislation and company environmental procedures and ensure environmental controls are in place and effective Ensure all audits/inspections are documented and reported in accordance with the company and client procedures Identify significant environmental impacts on site and help set-up appropriate controls Provide expert guidance, monitor and investigate following an environmental incident, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are taken Provide expert guidance to Site Management teams on the collection of data Liaise with the regulator To guide the internal audit in relation to environmental requirements About You A knowledge of ISO is desired enabling the candidate to undertake management system tasks inline with the requirements of ISO A demonstrated track record of delivering and maintaining management systems. A thorough understanding of large process operations with a working knowledge of solids disposal, liquid waste, and other air, water or ground exposure issues. An ability to develop and adapt strategies for environmental performance Environmental Cert Driving Licence Solvent Management Plan Knowledge Knowledge of Permitting Chemical Training
