A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Support Specialist to work full time at our client's site in Luton. This is a temporary role until August 2021, working Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm and Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm 40 hours a week, paying £17.31 per hour PAYE.**All successful candidates will have a drugs screening**ResponsibilitiesAssemble water meters for testing using hand toolsPerform performance, durability and environmental testing on water meters and ancillary systems using a wide range of test equipment (full training will be given)Preparation and presentation of test reports to engineersGeneral ADHOC duties within the residential labSupporting other departments with testing requirementsDocumenting all work for future reference and traceability Skills and ExperienceProven experience of work in a mechanical engineering role with demonstrable ability to work safely with hand tools.Good knowledge of Microsoft word, excel, and outlook and be PC literate.Testing experience - ideally from an R&D background so have experience of testing beyond the basics of following standard operating test proceduresAnalytical - ability to think beyond the problem and add value by providing design inputExperience with Hydraulic systems and ideally flow measurement or fluid metering/measurementEducation Level: A-Level minimum, preferable HND in engineering3-5 years related experience
