Futures are looking to appoint an articulate and motivated Engineering Stores Person with one of our long standing clients based in Halifax.This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a real challenge. JOB PURPOSE: To take control and implement the correct process with the issuing of stores material and stock items also the maintenance of stock levels. This will include booking in and checking against engineering drawings parts delivered and issuing to the correct jobs. To carry out deliveries and collection of materials.MAIN DUTIES: Stores:- Recording goods inwards / outwards using Company bespoke software, including dealing with outsourced work with different suppliers . Ensure checks to verify stock levels for re-ordering are accurate and appropriate. To take delivery of goods delivered into stores, with the use of forklifts where required. Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity against drawings and specifications.Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels are maintained. Put materials away in stores after deliveries in the correct stock location. To pick materials ready for the issuing to specific jobs.Assist with stock checks when required. Keep stores organised, clean and tidy.Driving:- To ensure our internal and external customers receive a courteous service. To make deliveries to and collections from various locations within the geographical area and further afield where necessary to external customers and suppliers. To ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials onto vehicles and assisting colleagues in this task where necessary. All materials must be secure on the vehicles to enable safe transportation and to avoid any loss or damage. Drivers should have good knowledge of the area and the roads around the area.PERSON SPECIFICATION:- KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Experience of working in a similar role, involving work in stores and driving for a minimum of two years, or equivalent experience. Knowledge of Waste Recycling SKILLS Essential A good knowledge and recognition of Engineering materials and products is essential. A full driving licence. Computer literate and knowledge of stock systems including excel. Good listener and team player. Methodical and organised and able to work on own initiative. A Forklift licence (Desirable) ATTITUDE:- The ability to provide an effective courteous service. A flexible approach to working arrangements. Team player.
