ENGINEERING MANAGER (DESIGN)DUDLEY (WEST MIDLANDS)MANUFACTURING BUSINESS - MULTIPLE SITESMonday - Friday (38.5 hours per week)£45,000 - £50,000 per annum + Bonus + 33 Days Holiday + BenefitsA well-established, highly successful and expanding engineering / manufacturing business has a requirement for a motivated and driven Engineering Manager to join their Design / Projects Department.This role involves full autonomous leadership of the Engineering Team and providing key Technical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders.This position will appeal to a Senior Design Engineer who is looking for their next step into a Management role or a strong Engineering Manager who is still in touch with 'hands on' design work! This position offers a motivated engineer a fantastic technical challenge, within a developing and buoyant area of Engineering.Role Description *Lead the delivery of all engineering tasks associated with the development and implementation of the company's products.*New Product Introduction.*New product development & innovation.*Provision of experience in FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis), FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and DFMA (Design for Manufacture)*Interrogation of CAD Drawings*Coordination of projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.*Analyse technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.*Consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.*Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert within the design function.*Present and explain proposals, report, and findings to clients.*Managing the process of taking a product from concept through to commercialization.Skills and Qualifications*Degree in Mechanical Engineering or strongly related field.*Structural engineering background (desirable).*FMEA / FEA / DFMA knowledge.*AutoCAD Inventor experience.*Ability and desire to lead an Engineering Team in the pursuit of business goals.*Experience within an Engineering / Manufacturing business.*Motivated and proactive attitude.If you feel this is of interest, please send your CV to directly to Tom Caddick - Hunter Selection recruit Engineering professionals in Design, Manufacturing, Field Service, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Mechanical Engineering
