Responsible for Capital Project Management and for Facilities Management.Key Responsibilities:To ensure safe working practices are followed at all times and to drive improvements to safety, staff welfare and environmental impacts.To take a lead role within the Senior Management Team in the development of plant strategy and budgetTo manage the performance and development of maintenance staff, including identifying training needs, coaching and promoting teamwork.To manage maintenance resources to meet the budget and the requirments of the maintenance / production schedule.To manage an efficient planned maintenance schedule and ensure all work carried out complies with the schedule.To advise on plant / machinery / tool investments ensuring complience to internal procedures.To lead and advise on improving internal KPI’s such as reducing downtime and waste.To manage the supply of all tools and spares required for Maintenance and Production departments. To create and maintain an efficient spares inventory.To ensure that quality standards are met.To drive the continuous improvement of quality, customer service, efficiency and costs through machinery and staff.To undertake and manage engineering projects.To lead and influence other departments to ensure that maintenance is fully supported.To develop and maintain co-operative relationships with customers, suppliers and other external contacts for the good of the business.To ensure all relevant records are maintained.To take control of the site and all personnel in the absence of the Plant and Production Managers.To ensure communication between Management and Shopfloor is clear and consistent with regards to all aspects of business performance.To manage capital projects, as assigned, within time and costProfessional Requirements:Technical degree or degree level attainmentsPrevious experience in Engineering Management in FMCG environmentProficient in Microsoft Office products particularly ExcelOther requirements:Office hours according to the employment contractMust be prepared to work additional hours as required to meet ad hoc demands of the jobTravel may be required at short notice as part of this role.
