Furthermore, with a close management team, the business has the ability to offer a real family feel, assuring that you will be a name rather than just a number within the organisation.About the opportunity:Due to continued company expansion and confirmed forward workload of technical projects, my client is recruiting permanently for a Senior CAD Technician / Engineering Manager.As a Senior CAD Technician / Engineering Manager, you will predominately be based from the office in Bristol (although travel to sites will be required) and you will be responsible for managing site engineers across multiple projects, supporting their development and mentoring them. In this position, you will be responsible for managing survey data from on-going earthworks /remediation projects; producing internal and external drawings (CAD 2D) proposed, as built, stockpiles, x-section and conceptual site models; creating volumetric quantities throughout the progression of a project lifecycle (stockpiles, excavation, backfill etc); supporting project managers in designing systems / mechanism to accurately capture the progression of works through volumetric change and assist the pre-construction manager in volumetric analysis (cut/fill exercise).About the requirements:In order to be considered for this opportunity, as a Senior CAD Technician / Engineering Manager, you must have proven experience in the following: * Be fully proficient in using Trimble, Topcon or Leica survey equipment to undertake setting out / recording levels, boundaries, points etc (although this will only be used to mentor/train others) * Highly competent in ground modelling and GPS machine control setup * Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or similar * Highly competent in using CAD 2D and LSS * Have good working knowledge of CAD 3D * Hold a CSCS cardAbout the benefits and rewards:For this opportunity, the salary has been left negotiable as the specifics will depend on level of experience and suitability however successful professional can expect a remuneration between £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.
