Maintenance Engineering ManagerAutomotive Manufacturing£45'000 - £55'000 + Benefits LiverpoolThe RoleThe role is with a large multi-site global business that has over 60+ sites globally and 5 in the UK. This is a senior position within the site reporting directly into the Senior Technical Manager. The business is going through a really exciting busy period that is set to continue, offering job security and a really positive atmosphere to be a part of.About the Role The successful candidate will be subject matter expert and point of reference for all maintenance within Mould Area, and all related equipment. Develop and implement manufacturing activities in line with SHE requirements, customer expectations and plant objectives ensuring optimum performance against IPIs. Organize and lead the maintenance activities within Paint department.Ensure compliance with Corporate and Division SHE objectives and requirementsCreate and develop planned predictive, preventative and curative maintenance programmes, maintenance spares and workforce training programmesCreate a fully controlled maintenance stores systemEnsure that the quality of work is to the standard required by the company and respective regulation (i.e. electrical, compressed air, etc…)Actively participate in all the training (in-house, provided by equipment supplier)Participate in fine tuning and final setting of the equipmentParticipate in maintenance area set up and follow up installation of small CAPEX related to this areaPlan and support carry out preventive maintenance of machinery, systems and utility servicesRepair efficiently paint line and auxiliaries during downtimeSupervise external companies doing contract maintenance and repair Seek constant reduction of unscheduled machinery and equipment downtimeParticipate in continuous improvement processes and activitiesKeep maintenance documentation available and updatedKeep and document stocks of necessary spare partsSupport Mould maintenance trainingThe PersonStrong experience with leading a high pressured team in a fast paced manufacturing environment.Leadership is key and the ability to coach and develop staff to ensure a high performing maintenance team.Ability to communicate in a professional and precise manner is a requirement (i.e. report writing, oral and electronic presentation skills).Leading projects in an engineering setting is desirable.Previous experience working with PLCs and Robotics.Strong leadership is needed with examples of conflict resolution.Good technical engineering background with either Electro-mechanical or Electrical preferences
