SRA Engineering are looking for an experienced Solidworks Design Engineer to join a well established and expanding manufacturing business in Chester.The Role * Working directly with the Group Operations Manager and within the engineering team the CAD Designer’s core duties will include, but not be limited to: * Updating existing drawings/producing drawings for customer orders and quotations using Solidworks * Liaising with workshop floor to bring designs to manufacture. * Complying with engineering codes and standards. * Providing project design support to clients * The successful CAD Designer will benefit from training and development opportunities, joining a highly skilled team who ensure work is delivered to the highest standard.The Candidate * Experience in SOLIDWORKS is essential for this role. * Minimum Mechanical HNC/HND qualification or similar * Ability to read engineering drawings * Minimum of 1-2 years industry experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal, steel work * Knowledge of 2D drawings and working to ISO 9001 standards * Comfortable in a fast paced and dynamic manufacturing environment * A positive ‘can do’ attitude and work ethic that will fit into the team * Effective communication skills across all levels
