Commercial Gas EngineerThe information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications.- North East- £32-£34k We are currently working with a leading FM organisation who are recuiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer to support across range of commercial premises in the North East.The client are a national organisation and have a long term contract in place to maintain 10 facilities in North East which were originally built by the construction side of the business.This is a PFI contract so any experience in similar contracts or fast paced environments would be great.Your role: The main purpose of the job is to undertake all Mechanical & Commercial Gas Appliance planned maintenance, reactive and other tasks as directed by Operational Management and the Customer Support Centre.There also may be an opportunity to progress into a supervisory position which would entail: supervising a small maintenance team on the maintenance and reactive repairs of commercial mechanical and electrical building services and associated equipment.Your day to day duties: Carry out Mechanical planned/reactive/additional works in educational buildings, including minor works, repairs, fault finding and fault diagnosis.Ensure compliance with the Gas Safe Regulations at all times, and that the appropriate materials used.To be fully conversant with all aspects of electrical installation works of both 230v and 400v.Attend any tasks issued which may include non-electrical jobs for which the post holder has the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake.To accept progress and complete accurately all works allocated via a portable electronic device and update all tasks in a timely manner.Read and interpret engineering drawings and building plans.As well as working core hours the post holder will be required to participate in the out of hours call out rota.As this is a mobile tradesman position, a company vehicle will be provided for used whilst traveling whilst on business and will be fitted with a GPS tracking device.Requirements: Commercial Gas qualified Time served (ideally) Gas catering experience would also be a bonus Benefits: Asides from a competitive salary this role offers a range of fantastic benefits: 28 days holiday Free private healthcare Pension Company vehicle/Fuel card Company phone/tablet Please get in touch if you are interested- .Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.No terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate against any of the protected characteristics that fall under the Equality Act 2010.We encourage and welcome applications from all sections of society and are more than happy to discuss reasonable adjustments and/or additional arrangements as required to support your application.Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK.For the purposes of the Conduct Regulations 2003, when advertising permanent vacancies we are acting as an Employment Agency, and when advertising temporary/contract vacancies we are acting as an Employment Business.
