CI Manager

Overall responsibility for identifying and leading continuous improvement and efficiency projects across the site, focussing on products, systems, operations and processes.Are you the right applicant for this opportunity? Find out by reading through the role overview below.You will support and lead to embed Operational Excellence within the DNA of the company through deployment and application of lean tools and techniques.Client Details My client manufactures luxury consumer goods Description Your responsibilities will include: · Analysing current work practices to identify areas for improvement and educate employees in how to improve business and manufacturing processes.· Achieving agreed projects to drive headcount savings and cost reductions.· Serving as a facilitator of continuous improvement implementation and employee involvement.· Devising and testing solutions, rolling out new ways of working.· Driving functional projects, identifying risks, issues and benefits.· Performing workplace audits and streamlining processes.· Process mapping, value stream mapping, identifying inefficiencies in productivity.· Fostering the growth of performance excellence behaviours within the business through coaching, mentoring, and training teams and championing performance excellence.· Supporting the business in establishing "best practice".· Ensuring that process improvement initiatives are aligned to business requirements.· Providing continuous improvement training and development.· Performing root cause analysis and resolve problems.· Providing development and training of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) in line with best practice.· Supporting operational and product change overs.· Leading, managing and tracking multiple cross-functional improvement projects to ensure successful completion.· Collaboration with engineering and quality colleagues.· Identify opportunities to continually improve manufacturing areas.Profile In order to be successful in your application, you will ideally have the following: · Educated to degree level or equivalent · A recognised qualification or demonstrable experience in implementing Lean / 6 Sigma · Experiences of Lean Manufacturing Principles in a Manufacturing or similar environment including Lean, 6 Sigma and Kaizen · Experience of factory design, layout, machine operation, facility process flow and continuous improvement · Experience of work measurement and standard time setting techniques · Previous experience in continuous improvement is essential · Critical thinker and problem-solving skills · Capable of operating tactically in addition to supporting the focus and drive towards Operational Excellence Job Offer &163;35,000- &163;45,000 depending on experience This will be a great opportunity to support a business that is aspiring to progress from being good to great.
