This position will be responsible for assisting inthe cleaning, maintenance and caretaking activities at the school, as directedby the Site Manager and Head Caretaker. They will be expected to haveexperience in building maintenance and/or cleaning and skills in a number ofcaretaking disciplines. The successful candidate will need to be flexibleand self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding ofthe health and safety requirements of a large site. Previous experience ofworking in a school would be advantageous but is not essential. There will be aneed for good time management, to prioritise duties and work on their owninitiative. The successful candidate will ensure our school site is maintainedto the highest standard that will offer all our children the best learningenvironment both indoors and out. The post holder will be required to work weeklyshift patterns: 06:00 to 13:30 (13:00 on Fridays) 08:00 to 15:30 (15:00 on Fridays) 12:00 until 19:30 (19:00 on Fridays) Any overtime hours will be paid at the appropriaterate. This is an all year-round full-time post, 37 hours per week, 25 daysholiday.
