Building And Maintenance Surveyor

VANRATH are delighted to be assisting their client, one of the largest Public Sector organisations in NI in their search for experienced Building Surveyors to provide expertise for a large project across Northern Ireland. The position will require some travel between sites, Access NI clearance and a valid CSR card at time of interview.Undertake initial desktop review of Permission to Work (PTW)/Wayleave information to ensure adequate information is providedLiaise with sites to arrange suitable appointments for visitAttend weekly on-line progress review meetingsConduct site surveys to undertake a technical review of the proposed route, taking into consideration capacity of existing trunking, existing power cabling, firebreaks, potential AsbestosProvide detailed feedback to enable PTW/wayleave to be amended if necessaryProvide approval of PTW/wayleave upon satisfactory technical reviewMust have CSR cardThe Ideal PersonHave a HNC / HND or equivalent in building studies, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent or other relevant discipline with a minimum 2 years’ post qualified experience in a building maintenance related discipline or a minimum of 3 years’ post qualified experience in a building construction related discipline.ORHave an ONC or equivalent in Building Studies, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent or other relevant discipline with a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualified experience in a building maintenance related discipline or a minimum of 3 years’ post qualified experience in a building construction related discipline.ORHave a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Building Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent or an Estates Management role in the education sector.RemunerationThis is an excellent opportunity to join one of the largest organisations in NI on a 6 month basis with possibility of extension. The rate for the role is £16.70 per hour plus holidays and expenses.
