Bank Residential Care Workers Salary: £8.72(rising to £8.91 on 1 April 2021) Hours of Work: asand when required The main purpose of the Residential Care Worker roleis to provide a flexibleand individualistic personal care service to residents appropriate to theirphysical, emotional and social care needs. The main responsibilities of the rolesare: -Tocarry out personal care tasks such as assisting residents with bathing, mobilityneeds, rising/retiring, toileting and feeding as determined by agreedindividual care-plans. -Toassist residents where possible to sustain maximum independence by encouragingthem to work with you in the carrying out of domestic tasks such as bed making,tidying of bedrooms and meal time tasks. -Toadminister medication to residents under the supervision of Management Staff. -Towork with residents on an individual or group basis encouraging theirparticipation in social, therapeutic and stimulating activities such asreminiscence work, reading, outings. -Tomaintain high standards of care in working with older people with dementia inorder that they may achieve their optimum level of personal functioning. -Toassist with the formulation and review of care plans, maintain written recordsand other information as required. -Toundertake as required appropriate courses of training. -Towork flexible hours on a seven day rota basis which may include night service.
