Morson Talent is recruiting for an Assistant Quantity surveyor based in Crewe working for a Rail client, To support the Infrastructure & Facilities Manager to deliver Capex & External Client Projects.Key Duties:Survey sites and produce detailed specificationsContact sub-contractors and engage in the tendering processEvaluate quotes and ensure contractors have included for everything on the specificationProduce Capex submissions for Director approvalRaise requisition requests to enable purchase orders to be producedCreate Programmes of Work for the projectsCollate Health & Safety information & RAMS for H&S FileEnsure contractors have all H&S informationLiaise with site to ensure works are carried out safely & on timeCarry out progress meetings & surveysCarry out quality inspections and produce snagging listsCollate certification of completion and file accordinglyApprove invoices based on works completed to date or satisfactory completionPerson Specification Qualification and RequirementsTechnical Qualifications - any tradeProject Management Qualification (Not essential)Full Driving LicenceExperience and Knowledge Preparation of Specifications & ReportsQuality ControlMicrosoft Project PlannerMicrosoft Excel & WordHealth & SafetyUnderstanding of finance systems such as purchase orders & invoices
