Assembly Technician (Electro/Mechanical) Temporary to Permanent role Days position - £10.25p.h + excellent benefits and development CoventryThe Company With a history of almost 40 years, and a reputation for being a one of the leading manufacturers of electro/mechanical equipment, used for a variety of applications and across a number of industries, my client is a dynamic player in a growing industry. Due to continued growth and a healthy orderbook, they now seek a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Electro/Mechanical Assembly Technician, who will also be involved in the servicing and repair of existing products.The Role This is a varied role and you'll be involved assembling a range of electro/mechanical monitoring equipment.This includes:Working from Work Instructions (SOPs) to assemble electrical and mechanical components, prior to the final electro/mechanical build of the finished article.Soldering and fixing components onto various parts of the build - pre-assembled PCB, electronic control systems, general wiring and mechanical assemblies etc.Carrying out initial quality checks prior to an automated calibration and systems checker.Recording and reporting any defects or trends in issuesDeveloping your skill-set to include higher level assembly and servicing. This would include close level soldering onto PCBs, replacing or adding components such as capacitors and more involved testing.The Person This is a skilled role and as such requires certain levels of experience and ability. The ideal person would:Be qualified to at least BTEC/ONC level within a related subject, such as electronics.Carry excellent and accurate soldering skills (ideally to board level but lower level may be considered).Be experienced and practiced in working with electronics within a manufacturing setting (not just within academia or as a hobby)Have worked within a relevant, similar manufacturing / electronic assembly type environment.Have an excellent eye for detail and ability to work to specified Work Instructions.Strong teamworking skills and proven ability to work well within a diverse workforce.Enthusiasm and a real desire to grow with the company.The RewardsThis is a temporary to permanent opportunity with an exciting and dynamic employer and the rewards include:Good hourly rate based on your experience.Paid overtimeDays role.Excellent annual leave allowance.Health options.Contributory pension.Defined career development path.Plus many more benefits PLEASE BE AWARE we will not progress applications where the candidate would have an excessive commute to Coventry or would need to relocate.
