Job DescriptionAlcohol and Drug Partnership Independent Chair (temp) - REF: HSCP/ADPSalary: £250 per day + expenses up to 25 days per annumLocation: Hector McNeil House, GreenockDuration: Recruited on a consultant basis for five yearsAs Inverclyde’s independent chair, you will chair the Alcohol and Drug Committee.(ADP to bring independent leadership; governance; accountability and scrutiny to Inverclyde to ensure that all partners are doing everything possible to target and mitigate Inverclyde’s poor record in relation to alcohol and drug misuse.As a dynamic leader you will promote and support all areas of work relating to alcohol and drugs within Inverclyde and ensure members of the committee are meeting the functions outlined in national legislation, guidance and national standards.You will work with partners to provide strategic leadership to Inverclyde’s ADP and support to the Committee membership in meeting its functions as detailed by the Scottish Government and in the context of emerging national alcohol and drug strategies.The position is recruited on a consultant basis for five years with remuneration of £250 per day plus expenses up to 25 days per annum.Please contact Anne Malarkey, Head of Mental Health, Alcohol & Drugs Recovery Service & Homelessness on 715284 should you wish to discuss further.
