Account Manager Draeger Fixed Gas Detection Systems - East Midlands

Purpose of Function This is a field based direct to customer sales function. An Account Manager has budget responsibility for the Draeger Fixed Gas Detection Systems products portfolio and will be expected to manage, retain and grow business opportunities with the allocated customers in the designated region. The sales region encompasses East Midlands. Tasks and Responsibilities All employees have a responsibility to comply with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.All employees have a responsibility to comply with the Draeger Manufacturing Norm (DMN) Procedure’s and Practices and also must aim to minimise any impact on the environment whilst carrying out their duties.Sales of all Dräger products and services associated with the defined sales region with special attention on:Growth in Market SharePresent and sell Dräger products and services to existing customersPrepare action plans to monitor and prioritiseCreate propositions for customers based upon value rather than costFollow-up on leads (coming from e.g. trade shows) marketing publications Ensure that the sales and profit targets are achievedEfficiencyEnsure an efficient territory planningPricing / Customer ProfitabilityEnsure the profitability of every customerEnsure that discounts are within agreed limitsCustomer ManagementMonitor and prioritise upcoming tendersUpdate and validate all opportunities on CRM systemCoordinate internal Draeger teams of expertise in a number of disciplines to address the customer’s needs and issuesMaintain and build relationships with existing and potential customers at all levels of the organisationDevelop plans to increase intimacy with key customers and arrange visits by appropriate Draeger personnelIdentify and resolve (potential) conflicts with customersPrepare for presentations, proposals and sales contracts for customersWhere necessary ensure the involvement of / coordination with Sales Management, Product Specialists, Dräger Service, Internal Sales, etc.Present the Dräger core values in front of customers Additional Roles Key Account Manager for DrägerParticipation in marketing events like trade shows, exhibitions, seminars & industry bodies Preferably Degree educated in a technical discipline combined with sound commercial skillsBusiness to Business sales skills, preferably gained within the industrial safety marketUnderstanding of industry standards & regulationsExperience of selling instrumentation gained within the industrial safety marketExperience in dealing with all aspects of project lifecycleExperience of selling wireless systems IT literate and knowledge of Microsoft officeStrong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence othersAbility to handle / solve conflicts by adopting a win-win approachAbility to become a thought leader within industryExcellent presentation skillsAbility to create and edit written material (customer communication, offers, etc.)Self-driven, proactive approach with a good ability to prioritise and work without close supervisionFull and current Driving licenceWillingness to travel extensively on a flexible schedule, including some overnights.Other tasks as requested by your immediate line manager.Located within designated sales region, home office based Dräger is a leading international company in the fields of medical and safety technology.
