Job Duties: Responsible for fitting and welding of steel parts including miscellaneous parts using a MIG Process as assigned by your supervisor and or Production Manager. Tack and weld steel structures suitable for painting and final assembly as per engineering drawing.Ensure quality standard is followed and achieved including completing checklists.Ensure Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are always adhered to.Key duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:Tacking of steel assemblies to produce a structure suitable for welding.Welding out of pre-tacked steel assemblies. Pre-assembling a number of steel assemblies to ensure correct fit in final assembly.Operating fork truck. Qualifications / Experience: Essential Criteria, Experience and SkillsPrevious experience working in a manufacturing environment.MIG Welding recognised desirable but not essential.Desirable Criteria, Experience and Skills.Ability to read, understand and work from engineering drawings.Ability to take direction but can also work on your own initiatives.MIG Welding recognised (Not essential qualifications will be provided).Experience of operating a forklift.Experience of operating overhead cranes and jib cranes.
