Working within the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences and the research theme Extreme Environments, you will conduct research in glaciology and contribute to understanding processes related to glacier dynamics and the role of glaciers in a global context. You will enhance research and teaching in cold environments and provide expertise related to the subjects of modelling or remote sensing of the climate system with particular focus on the modelling of ice sheets and glaciers.   The position is permanent. For the first three-years of your appointment you will be employed as a research fellow with light teaching duties, and then transferred to a lectureship or senior lectureship depending on qualifications and experience.
