Vehicle Engineering Lead Engineer

WHAT TO EXPECT Vehicle Personalisation (VP) are a key part of the SO Organisation delivering World Class Products that amplify our core brand values in Ultimate Luxury, Ultimate Sports Performance and Ultimate Capability. Our world class team is currently looking for an experienced Vehicle Personalisation Attributes Manager to complement our expanding team. You’ll be part of the VP Package Engineering team within Vehicle Engineering. The Virtual Vehicle Lead Engineer is responsible for ensuring completion of Virtual Series activities within VP. The role will involve working on a range of VP Content across the Jaguar and Land Rover brands. You’ll be responsible for: Working with the CoCs and CAE/DPA analytical teams to plan and monitor CAD and NGD delivery. Ensure assessments are completed to provide a robust design by the key milestones. Planning, organising and running of key program kick-off, communication, countdown and freeze events. Management of Virtual Series KPI metrics for VE including AIMs, DPA-U. Integration to other Virtual Hub functions. Lead the co-ordination of DPA Assessments DPA1-7 Lead DPA1 – CAD Compatibility Hub alignment on MBS data for VP Analysis work plans VP Specific Virtual Spec Model Alignment with Product Modellers. Drive use of Virtual Engineering Progression Schedule WHAT YOU’LL NEEDIt’s essential that you have in depth knowledge of whole vehicle architecture and systems with the ability to review CAD. You must possess good communication skills - written, graphical and verbal. You will have experience of negotiating solutions in an area of technical conflict along with a High drive, self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision. You’ll possess the commitment to deliver quality results in a flexible and dynamic team environment, a proven ability to work within strict timing constraints and the ability to achieve results in an efficient manner, making effective use of all resources available within the company and outside. You’ll also need: Specific understanding of the Virtual Series progression process and requirements Understanding of target setting process, PCDS and RMDV Previous delivery of Virtual gateways - Desirable Proven delivery of a whole vehicle architecture- Desirable
