THE COMPANY:Brewster Partners are working with our client, a large international manufacturing business, to recruit a Buyer on a temporary basis to assist with purchasing goods and materials. We're looking for someone with relevant, recent experience and available for an immediate start. Conveniently located, our client is within easy access of the M18 and also public transport links. THE JOB:The job involves working alongside the Supply Chain Manager to ensure that the company is saving money wherever possible on the purchasing of goods and materials, building productive relationships with suppliers and identifying improvements. Duties include:Making savings on key supplier/high spend accountsNegotiating and influencing suppliers to achieve the best market valueDelivering sustainable gross margin improvementsProducing regular reports for management on the savings achieved and prospective savings anticipatedBuilding and maintaining strong supplier relationships to secure the best possible Service Level AgreementsCreating opportunities to improve the supplier base, identifying and developing innovative ideas within the supply chainThis is a fantastic opportunity to spend time at a successful, growing local business with international reach, on a week by week temporary basis. THE PERSON:To be successful in your application you need to have recent experience as a Buyer, or an Assistant Buyer with substantial responsibility for purchasing goods and materials at the best price and quality, with long term relationships in mind. We're looking for someone with the ability to work productively with suppliers, conducting negotiations for the business and looking to work collaboratively to cut spend in the supply chain.The role has an immediate start and will continue week by week whilst required.
