Sports & Play Operations ManagerSalary £36,000 to £39,000 + CarNorthampton and The MidlandsPermanentThe phenomenal growth of the company in the provision of Play Areas, Sports Facilities and Open Space Projects has led to the need for an additional Operations Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to take a pivotal role in the continuing growth and development of a specialised Landscaping division. Working closely with the Divisional Director and an experienced team you will have responsibility for delivering multiple projects across your area, transforming the environments where people Live, Learn, Work and Play!This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Landscaper to develop their career within Operations.The Job:This is a diverse role that ensures that no two days will be the same! You will have overall responsibility for the Play and Sports sites and contracts and associated Landscaping Teams within your area. Many of these will be associated with new build housing developments. The Operations Manager is responsible for; * Ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the contract specification. * Managing your projects and “the client journey” from sale to handover. * Ensuring that the companies quality standards are maintained. * Ensuring adherence to the companies Health and Safety policies and procedures. * Liaising with the client, maintaining good relations and ensuring that any agreed remedials are completed to the client’s satisfaction. * Responsibility for the financial performance of all projects, including resource scheduling and procurement. * Pre-mobilisation site inspection and survey including risk assessments and site-specific instructions. * Day to day responsibility for the operational team, including appraisals and inductions. * Supporting the Divisional Directors in reporting financial performance and managing risk.The Person: * Experience in Hard and Soft Landscaping, good plant knowledge and, preferably familiar with Sports Turf installation. * An effective Team Leader with demonstrable operation management experience * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Financially literate with experience of managing projects and resources in line with budgets * IT literate with a good knowledge of MS Office applications * An understanding of the practical, technical, financial and qualitative requirements of a projectBenefits:Salary to £39,000 plus company car
