An established Manufacturing business and leader in their field is seeking to recruit a Senior Purchasing and Supply Chain Specialist due to a significant increase in workload. Starting out working from home until restrictions allow a return to the office. At this point you will be able to choose your base of Peterborough, Huddersfield or Darlington. The Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist Role: - Procures specialized items and executes complex buying strategies in accordance with agreed upon material buying plans at the optimum cost, quality and relationship. - Conducts complex analysis of sourcing information and presents findings to purchasing and supply chain leadership for process improvement while maintaining high quality product and service delivery. - Proactive and Reactive Capacity Management - Issue resolution, Allocation management, cost recovery - Understand supplier processes, Implement Material agreements and Supplier visits (when permitted) - Lead analysis projects/initiatives providing coaching to less experienced analysts. - Long term supplier support to drive operational excellence within allocated suppliers and measure performance against contract deliverables. Candidates will have weekly visits to 1 critical supplier in the Manchester area. The Successful Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist must: - Have demonstrable Purchasing and Supply chain experience within a Manufacturing business - Be able to work effectively with Stakeholders, internally and externally. - College, university, or equivalent degree Qualified in supply chain management or a related subject required.
