Role Responsibilities:To manage site construction activities from tender through to commissioning, taking ownership for the successful delivery of multi-discipline packages of workInterface with the client on technical matters on behalf of the project managerOptimise the use of materials and employees' time to ensure high productivity and low unit costsIdentify any variations to the contract, assisting with pricing and allocating time to themDeliver projects to time, budget, high quality and to the resource plan.Assist in tendering projects by considering the construction elements of bids Scope and review sub-contract installation packages of works Plan project activities to suit available access and project deliverables Deliver projects efficiently in accordance with the programme to time, quality and resource planEnsure that teams are provided with the correct tools, plant and equipment for a projectDemonstrate safety leadership by exampleEffectively manage project resources including people, time, plant, materials, subcontractorsMotivate staff in the team and any sub-contractorsBuild a successful relationship with the project clientAssist with the IDC ProcessWork towards gaining Engineering Manager Installation IRSE Licence (7.8.110B)Understanding of the standards frameworkEnsure a site diary is kept and site work records are returned to the Construction ManagerMaintain IRSE logbookAttend team, technical and safety briefs. Undertake site visitsEffectively communicate task requirements to teamDelivery of the project to forecasted costs, regular reporting and detailed cost control measures.Change control - ability to recognise and high light change to the project team, cost, control and deliver.
