A newly created Senior Supplier Quality Engineer role to work with a global manufacturing giant.Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.Client Details I am currently partnering with a global Manufacturing group as they look to recruit a newly created Senior Supplier Quality Engineer role to look after their UK & European operation.This role will be home based with 60% travel across the UK & Europe.This role will look to improve supplier performance, bring on board new suppliers & work closely with the group on a global level.The ideal candidate will be degree qualified, have Automotive/fast paced Manufacturing experience & be able to demonstrate their experience around improving & developing a diverse supplier base.You will be forward thinking, have a detailed Quality toolkit & be excited by the opportunity to make this role your own.In return you will be working for a market leader on a role with a blank canvas.Description o Develop supplier improvement plans, including audit, supplier visits, tracking, appraisal and ranking.o Introduce and implement Process Control on specific manufacturing processes and maintain with regular process audit o Perform root cause problem solving with suppliers to obtain corrective and preventive actions, follow up the corrective and preventive actions.o Serve as a Manufacturing liaison lead to suppliers to resolve active quality concerns.Follow and track all corrective action requests for the supplier base.o Assist supplier development with procedures, evaluation of quality systems and recommend changes to process controls.o Work in a cross-functional environment with Engineering, Plant Quality Assurance, Sourcing and Project Management teams.o Provide information regarding requirements for suppliers.o Identify training requirements and sources of training for suppliers.o Oversee daily controls and Key Process Indictors (KPI) of supplier performance metrics.o Coordinate with other Supplier Quality Engineers for internal multi-vendor projects.o Monitor and drive the supplier's improvement in quality system and process, ensure timely Profile Degree qualified Ideally Automotive background Strong Quality toolkit Detailed knowledge of improving supplier performance Ability to coach and engage Job Offer Circa &163;50k &43; car and benefits
