THE ROLEI am seeking a Senior Project Manager to join my client, a firm of construction consultants with several offices. This role will be based from their Sunderland office.You will work on building projects mainly for Healthcare, Education, Local Authority and Commercial clients.You will work on the full run of project management duties from inception to project delivery.You will provide support to graduate and assistant project managers and run a small team.The role will be on building construction projects working on the whole project lifecycle from inception and business case, feasibility, through the design phases, procurement process, site delivery, commissioning and defects phases to handover.Any experience of business development would be preferred.THE COMPANYMy client is a firm of construction consultants providing Quantity Surveying and Project Management to clients in the private and public sectors. They have several offices across the North of England.THE CANDIDATEYou will be a Senior Project Manager who has a BSc or MSc in a Built Environment subject e.g. Quantity Surveying, Civil / Structural Engineering, Construction Project Management, Architecture or similar subject.My client would prefer someone who is Chartered e.g. MRICS, RIBA, MAPM etc if possible.You should be working for another firm of construction consultants.The ideal candidate will have gained some experience of healthcare projects for the NHS / P22, and also education projects too. As my client is also working on local authority and commercial projects experience across these sectors would be useful.You must have a good understanding of building technology and a good understanding of contract types and procurement to advise the clients.Knowledge of HSE issues.
