About this role The demand on our national Pole estate has exploded with a surge of new requirements never experienced before. On top of the traditional demand, we now have increased installation of equipment from the Openreach Fibre First programme as well as Alt-Net infrastructure builders, both targeting overhead deployment in their initial phases. This drives pole replacement, adjustments and decongestion of pole furniture.  We have consolidated our pole estate bringing together testing, replacement and maintainence of over 4 million poles. Having the operational safety, strategy and investment responsibility in one place presents opportunity to transform how we effectively deliver the safety of our estate, and how we serve our customers – Network Builders who consume the infrastrucuture.  This job draws on expert program leadership and with lead responsibility for developing, transforming, and delivering mid term (1-3 year) business plans, across a direct desk and field audience of 2000, and an external supply chain. You'll have the following responsibilities Leading a team to deliver complex transformation multi million pound programmes  Accountable for the successful delivery of the programme outcomes, including their alignment to Fibre and Network Delivery/Openreach strategy, objectives and scorecard Assuring delivery across a large matrix team, including Regional, Customer, Central Ops and Partner functions, the operations (SME’s and management), CTIO/TSO e, Finance, HR etc. This includes regular engagement and influencing at director level Accountable for the delivery of complex change projects from design through to build, deployment and handover to the business, with an emphasis on sustainability and credible outcomes Accountable for managing programme risk and impact to operational performance and ensuring change is successfully delivered Providing thought leadership on the scope of the programme/portfolio across FND, Openreach and, where appropriate, with industry Regular engagement with directors and key stakeholders both internal and external Understanding of future, inflight programmes and governance across FND LT to identify synergies, risks and opportunities Design:Responsible for ensuring all business cases and the design of solutions are translated into actionable delivery plans, ensuring collaboration with the discovery arm between design and build to define credible business outcomes and secure successful business case sign off Build and Implementation:Accountable for the delivery of all programme outcomes, against identified key success criteria (e.g. KPI, SLA, etc.)  Deployment and sustainability: Ensure the team meets the change deployment principles and hands over sustainability through engagement and partnership working with operational, customer and partners change teams You'll have the following skills & experience Experience of leading complex multi-functional / multi-divisional change (delivery) programmes in a fast paced environment including: cultural, system, process and people impact Strong understanding of change governance and the ability to direct a team to deliver change across a large organisation  Director level stakeholder management (internal and external) Strong analytical capability, commercial and financial acumen  Understanding of current business, commercial and industry objectives and trends  Good commercial understanding of Openreach product portfolio and competitor product offerings  Strong stakeholder management; able to build and maintain a range of senior stakeholder relationships and influence stakeholders to support change agenda.  Ability to communicate complex problems / solutions in an articulate manner, using data to support your argument and influence senior management thinking Solid understanding of existing regulatory framework, including regulatory finance and implications for P&L; Capable of dealing with ambiguity and translating into business requirements and actions Benefits As well as offering a competitive base salary, you’ll also have a rewarding bonus scheme, annual car allowance, a family health care plan, personal landline, access to equity schemes and an attractive pension offer.  We value different perspectives, skills and experiences.
