Reward Specialist

We are supporting our public sector client with their search for a Reward Specialist to join their HR team. The organisation employ over 1000 staff across the UK and their workforce is made up of a wide variety of professions. As a Reward Specialist, you can expect to carry out duties such as: Implementing and effectively processing base salary, allowances, pensions, bonuses and all relevant reward elementsConducting regular reviews of the Reward structure to ensure its effective and competitive Providing expert advice and guidance on Pensions and liaising with the specialist team to administer changesTrack and manage pay uplifts and other reward schemes across the employees, ensuring data is maintained and processed accurately Managing job evaluations in line with company process, including job families, structures and bench markingUpdating and evolving HR policies relevant to RewardSupport the Reward Manager in the preparation for the annual pay review, submitting various papers/evidence to gain correct financial authorisationMaintain and develop relationships with suppliers, ensuring value for money when awarding contracts As an expert in Reward, you will be able to demonstrate through your CV and in Interview, true expertise in the below areas: Demonstrate a sound and up-to-date knowledge of Reward best practice and legislation surrounding compensation and benefitsExperience and trained in a job evaluation system, such as HAY or Towers Perrin, and the ability to prepare job evaluationsA proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders both internal and externalPrevious experience of working to Government Financial guidelines and an understanding of the annual process required by Public Sector bodies to gain Government funding (experience of working in a BEIS funded organisation would be highly beneficial) Conduct regular reviews of Reward structuresEnsuring that Government financial guidelines are adhered to and reported onHays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
