Research Fellow – Part-time (0.2fte)Ref: 21/108671School of Psychology We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow for an 18 month fixed-term contract, equivalent to 1 day per week, with an anticipated start date of, on or after 5th April 2021 and has a funding end date of 4 October 2022. This position can involve remote working, and so is applicable to anyone residing within or who has eligibility to work in the UK without restriction. You will be working on an exciting project which aims to build UK capacity in music therapy research for informal carers of individuals at end of life. You will join a multi-disciplinary research team of academics, clinicians and PPI stakeholders, from across the UK and US. The project is being led by Dr Lisa Graham-Wisener (Psychology, Queen’s University Belfast) and Dr Tracey McConnell (Nursing & Midwifery, Queen’s University Belfast). This is an excellent opportunity for a researcher interested in palliative and end of life care and/or music therapy, where you will have the opportunity to utilise a range of research methodologies and approaches. This includes a systematic review of existing research evidence, consensus-based methods to agree a best practice agenda for music therapy research with informal carers, and a co-design approach to intervention development. You will be based within the Centre for Improving Health-related Quality of Life in the School of Psychology at Queen’s University Belfast.The successful candidate must have, and you should clearly demonstrate this in your CV/Cover letter: Undergraduate honours or postgraduate degree in psychology or related discipline, for example, health or social sciences.Have, or be about to obtain a PhD in psychology or related discipline, for example, health or social sciences.At least 3 years relevant research experience.Demonstrable experience of systematic review methodologies.
