Relief Support Worker

Creative Support is a national, fast growing, not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of needs. We are committed to providing responsive, person centred care which promotes the independence, wellbeing and social inclusion of the people we support.The Children and Young People’s Safer Space is an innovative and exciting service which provides children and young people who are in mental health crisis or emotional distress with a safe and supportive pre-booked telephone calls.You will work together with children aged zero to 18, building rapport, supporting de-escalation of distress and offering diversionary activities to promote positive mental health, self-soothing and ongoing self care. You will have responsibility for managing risk and promoting the health, safety and wellbeing of all children who call the service.The service operates from 9:00am to 02:00am Monday to Friday and from 14:00pm to 02:00am Saturday and Sunday, and is open 365 nights a year. Each shift is staffed by a minimum of two workers.If you have excellent interpersonal skills and are supportive, proactive, responsible, good at de-escalating crisis and listening to others on telephone calls then we would like to hear from you.
