Regional Construction Health and Safety Coordinator - Ballymena - 1782

Vacancy Reference: 20736We are currently recruiting for a Regional Construction Health and Safety Coordinator for the Ballymena area. This will be a full-time temporary ongoing role, Monday to Friday consisting of 37 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £14.38. Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible to the Health and Safety Manager / Assistant Health and Safety Manager (Construction) for the delivery of a comprehensive Health and Safety service including the provision of professional advice, guidance and support to senior / line management and staff in relation to the control of contractors and construction activitiesAdvising Project Managers and project teams on the suitability of the contractor’s welfare and site security arrangements to meet the requirements of Regulation 4(2)(b), 13(4)(c) and 15(11), Schedule 3 and Regulation 18 of CDM(NI) 2016 and any subsequent amendments, changes or revisionsAdvising Project Managers, maintenance Managers etc. on the suitability of the Principle Contractor’s, and any Contractors arrangements to meet the requirements of Regulations 16 to 34 inclusive of CDM (NI) 2016Monitoring of, and ensuring that arrangements in respect of CDM (NI) 2016 are fully implemented and maintained throughout the project as appropriateCollation and analysis of statistical incident / accident data and information, and prepare and communicate associated reports, findings and recommendations in relation to the control of contractors and construction activitiesCompile Health and Safety key performance indicators and maintain appropriate records and statistics as appropriate to comply with statutory requirements in relation to Health and Safety matters relating to the control of contractors and construction activitiesEnsuring Project Managers, project teams, staff and contractors comply with Housing Authority Health and Safety Policies and procedures and statutory requirements in relation to the control of contractors and construction activities Essential criteria: NEBOSH General Certificate qualification AND a minimum of three years recent relevant experience within a Construction Health & Safety function within a large complex, multi-site organisation AND an additional Construction Health & Safety course i.e. IOSH Managing Safely in Construction AND a Construction Skills Register (CSR) Card AND have access to a form of transport to enable the candidate to fulfil the requirements of the post Desirable Criteria: A relevant professional qualification e.g. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or above AND three years recent relevant experience within a Construction, or Facilities Management, Health & Safety function within a large complex, multi-site organisation and a Construction Skills Register (CSR) Gold Health & Safety Practitioners Card Additional information: This role provides an exciting opportunity to join an industry leading business, committed to ensuring that their customers receive a first class level of service and offering genuine opportunities for career progression.For more information on this role or any other vacancy please call us on 028 90330 555Candidates will be required to obtain a Basic Access NI check at a cost of £18.00.Please note that a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
