Reactive Gas Engineer - Stoke

We are working alongside them to recruit a Reactive Engineer Breakdown/Repairs in the Stoke, Burton and Derby.An exciting new position has become available for a Reactive Engineer Breakdown/Repair, to join our Mechanical Team providing a first-class reactive and testing service to commercial clients predominately in the retail/leisure sector (pubs, restaurants, gyms, etc).This is a mobile position with the main focus of the role being planned maintenance & testing, however, the candidate will also cover gas & cold plumbing call outs and repairs when required.Although the successful candidate will receive extensive on-the-job training, relevant background and experience in the following areas is essential:• Extensive plumbing & gas experience carrying out repairs and maintenance.• Experience testing and servicing gas appliancesMain duties & Responsibilities• Carry out PPM servicing/testing works on HVAC appliances.• Attend gas/plumbing emergencies & call outs.• Attend planned follow-on heating and plumbing work repairs.• Efficiently maintain allocated plant/equipment.• Provide regular updates on works in progress (WiP) job completion, recommendations options etc to FME personnel.• Work within budget constraints for each client using your commercial acumen to make decisions around forecasting and estimating works.• Provide recommendations and solutions options to rectify faults.• Understand and complete all work-related paperwork accurately and on time via a handheld device and hard copy prescribed documentation.• Ensure client expectations are met.• Participate in the company’s out of hours rota (weekend and evenings)Person Specification• Domestic + Commercial Gas ACS (CCN1, CPA1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT, CODNCO1, TPCPA1, ICPN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1).• Catering ACS (desirable)• NVQ / Craft cert in relevant discipline• Must be willing to work at height• Previous diagnostic and fault-finding experience• A good understanding of Health & Safety procedures• Clear communicator both oral and writtenWorking Hours & Benefits• Full-time permanent position• Company Vehicle + fuel card• Company pension (after qualifying period)• Competitive hourly rate• 21 holidays per year + bank holidays• Flexible 40 Hours per week + uncapped overtime• Call out rota – to be advised.If you are interested in the position please call Kim or send your CV to k.earl or call (phone number removed)
