Site management & supervision will always be required, as a minimum, to hold management CSCS cards as well as SSSTS or SMSTS certification and all candidates will have a wealth of commercial/industrial scale flat roofing experience to draw from.The vacancy - PROJECT MANAGERPURPOSE: TO ORGANISE AND MANAGE CONTRACTS TO ENSURE QUALITY, SAFETY, PROGRAMME AND GROSS OBJECTIVES ARE ACHIEVED.SUBORDINATES: OPERATIVESKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:To organise and control directly employed and sub-contract labourTo approve time sheets and sub-contract labour invoices.To programme works to suit agreed programme.To ensure that materials are ordered and deliveries meet programme requirements.To prepare risk assessments, method statements, quality plans, etcTo ensure that the works are carried out safely and in accordance with Company requirements.To record variations and advise surveyor.Ensure works are installed as per approved working drawings and specification.Record compliance with Part L details as applicable.Liaise with Company employed sub-contractors and ensure work meets our requirements.Maintain a good working relationship with both operatives and the Main Contractor/Client.To organise plant, craneage materials, to meet programme and cost plan.Attend site meetings as required.Attend Company Safety Meetings/TrainingAUTHORITY LIMITS:Costs to be agreed prior to starting contract.Approved contractor selection in accordance with our procedures.Approval only of subcontract labour invoices.KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE OF POSITION HOLDER.Incumbents need to be articulate, numerate and demonstrate competence in:Adaptability/Business Awareness / Detail Handling / Initiative / Planning & Organising / Sheeting Industry / Plant / Safety/ Communication.Experience of the roofing building and construction industry is essential.General computer awarenessSMSTS & CSCS Black, Gold or White.Our client is committed to the equality of opportunity for all staff and applications from individuals are encouraged regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnershipsAs stated above: candidates must be from a flat roofing background and have the minimum stated qualification & certification to be considered
