General Information: Job Title:Project Engineer – Black Utilities, HVAC, Clean RoomsPosition Reports to:Project Engineering Work Stream LeadJob PurposeReporting to the Project Engineering Work Stream Lead, the primary role of the Project Engineer for Black Utilities will be to oversee that the utilities and automation are constructed as per design and commissioning targets are achieved. The position will be located at the Pfizer site at San Sebastian de los Reyes, Spain.Duration - c. 15 monthsProject DescriptionThe Pfizer A3 project includes the design, construction, and start-up of a new aseptic production facility for biological drug products at its site in San Sebastian de los Reyes. The project is currently in construction phase.Job ResponsibilitiesA3 Project Systems associated with the Role:Potable WaterPlant Air DistributionPlant Steam & Condensate DistributionChilled Water; LP Hot WaterSteam HumidificationLiquid Nitrogen Cooling SystemBuilding HVAC SystemsMiscellaneous drainage systemsClean RoomsBe the project focal point for any design/ construction/ commissioning queries.Liaison with Construction, Commissioning and Operational System Owners of the above systemsOversee that the systems and associated automation are constructed as per design.Work with sub-team as Owner of the systemsLead the effort: Ensure and contribute to adherence to project schedule.Coordination of any assistance required for the start-up of the systems (vendor, construction, maintenance, operations, calibration, etc.).Manage and approve vendor documentation associated with the systems in coordination with Project Document Control.Be responsible for any Change Control/Documentation Mark-ups of Master documentation (P&IDs, etc.).Ensure Mechanical Completion and Documentation of the systems are carried out in line with project procedures.Oversee that any Legalisation requirements are executed in a timely mannerContribute to progress meetings as required, in support of the Project Manager.Regular progress reporting; maintenance and close-out of systems Action Lists.ExperienceDegree in Electrical Engineering, or related field with >5 years of experience in similar positionsPreferences:Experience working on large capital projectsExperience in biotech facility design and operationKnowledge and experience with a plant start-upStrong organizational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.Familiarity with GMP change control requirementsFamiliarity with operating in a fully automated plantDemonstrated skill in identifying, analysing and solving problems.Fluency in Spanish and English
