Our client, an established and leading specialist advanced manufacturing business, are currently looking to recruit an experienced Production professional. Managing a team of 16 Operators and Technicians across a variety of shift patterns, you will take responsibility for the performance of the department, ensuring delivery of departmental quality, plan adherence and productivity.Key Responsibilities:Ensure teams report, eliminate and escalate all hazards with urgencyEnsure teams develop and maintain excellent standards of housekeepingManagement of individual performance, conduct and capabilityDeliver weekly quality targets with daily challenging of any non-qualityDeliver weekly output & plan adherence, controlling overtimeDeliver OTIF target with effective prioritisation from daily OTIF meetingDeliver scrap targets with high accuracy of scrap reportingLead daily SQCDP meetingsRepresent the department at daily Operations meetingsAttend weekly production planning meeting and agree planCompletion of customer complaint investigations with robust sustainable corrective actions completed in a timely mannerQualification & Experience Requirements:An experienced Production Lead or Management professional with the ability to lead a multi-shift production departmentStrong Leadership and Management skills with an understanding of Operational Excellence within a manufacturing environmentExcellent understanding of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principlesPrevious experience of Advanced Composite Materials, Carbon Fibre, Injection Moulding or similar would be highly beneficial as would knowledge of IATF 16949 (Automotive)Formal qualification in Production, Manufacturing, Engineering Materials Science would be desirable but not essential
