DescriptionProduct Architecture Manager Would you like to manage the design and communication of high-level structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs? We currently have a vacancy for a Product Architecture Manager at our site in Portsmouth. As a Product Architecture Manager, you will provide comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible. This role will provide you with the opportunity to join a growing team with exposure to the wider BAE Business. Your main responsibilities as a Product Architecture Manager will involve: Leads the development of solution architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas. Ensures that appropriate tools and methods are available, understood and employed in architecture development. Within a change programme, leads the preparation of technical plans and, in liaison with business assurance and project staff, ensures that appropriate technical resources are made available. Provides advice on technical aspects of solution development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly. Contributes to the creation and review of a systems capability strategy which meets the strategic requirements of the business. Develops models and plans to drive the execution of the strategy, taking advantage of opportunities to improve business performance. Takes responsibility for investigative work to determine requirements and specify effective business processes, through improvements in information systems, data management, practices, procedures, organisation and equipment. Assists with the collection of safety assurance evidence, undertaking all work in accordance with agreed safety, technical and quality standards, using appropriate methods and tools. Designs, creates, controls and evaluates moderately-complex subject matter ensuring the needs of the audience(s) are met. Makes informed decisions about the best way to present information to an audience, taking into consideration how information may be presented, identified, and searched for. Produces information artefacts that are accurate, current, relevant and easily understood. Your skills and qualifications: Ability to develop and implement architecture, principles, standards, guidelines and training material. Subject matter expertise in architecting major applications and how those applications and information flows support businesses/customers through full lifecycle Detailed knowledge of architecture Modelling tools and techniques. Detailed knowledge and experience of industry methodologies and frameworks (such as TOGAF, ITIL and SDLC). Knowledge of project, programme and portfolio management methodologies and tools.
