If you want to develop your career within a rapidly expanding, safety focused company with a reputation for quality, keep reading…What will the role involve?* Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for all aspects of the aluminium extrusion including quench rates, extrusion speeds, billet and die temperatures. * You will ensure our reputation for quality products is maintained at all times by consistently delivering against customer specifications and applicable standards.* Communication is key and you will bring together colleagues to deliver an effective manufacturing process* You will always be looking for ways to improve what we do, ensuring we exceed our Recovery targets and drive performance.* To ensure we are safety conscious company you will abide by all Health & Safety guidelines, including keeping your work environment clean and hazard free, assisting team members and wearing relevant personal protective equipment.What skills or experience do I need to apply?* You will have previous experience within a production extrusion environment either as a Headman or Assistant Headman* With outstanding attention to detail, a common-sense approach and great interpersonal skills, you'll be motivated to do a fantastic job.* When things get busy, you'll be able to work under pressure and 'muck in' as part of a team to achieve targets.* You will need to be comfortable working within a team as well as confident in supporting areas of colleague development* We're proud of our culture and expect all our employees to treat each other with dignity and respect.What else do I need to know?* The pay starts at £32,262 including shift allowance. * Earnings up to £40,000 are not unrealistic.* You'll be doing shift work, which will be 5 days with 2 days off one week and 2 days with 5 days off the next, helping you to plan around your life.* Conveniently located near J20 M5 and served by both train and bus stops within walking distance.* These roles are permanent and we want employees to love working at Smart, so you will enjoy benefits including 240 hours holiday and pension.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment
