Plumbing/Heating and BMS OperativeUK Defence Academy – Shrivenham, Swindon£28,000 - £32,000 annual salary plus competitive benefits Serco is contracted to provide Total Facilities Management to the Defence Academy of the UK (DA). This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and most of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco also supports the DA as the MOD's primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions. Within our Facilities and Estates team on site, we are currently looking to recruit for a Plumbing/Heating and BMS Operative. This is a key role within the team to not only support the larger Facilities department by overseeing the Building Management System, which is used for all work onsite, but to also be hands on with current and planned facilities work. This is an opportunity to work at a renowned site within a highly skilled team in managing the BMS with all reactive and planned work. What you need to do the jobThe successful individual will hold recognised qualification (likely City & Guilds level 2 or 3) in either Plumbing or Heating to help in the hands-on completion of planned work. As well as this, the postholder must have previous experience of working within a Building Management System, although we are open to which they may have used.
