Plumbing and Heating Technician

​Yolk is working with a large organisation in Warwick to recruit a Plumbing & Heating Technician for a permanent position.You’llhave the opportunity to work as part of a wider maintenance team across a diverse estate and assisting with the provision of an efficient business critical response service and routine maintenance for all plumbing and mechanical building services including heating/ventilation and all equipment associated with mechanical building services. Ensuring all statutory,planned and breakdown works are completed safely, cost effectively and to the agreed KPI’s and Service Level Agreement.What you’ll be doingAs a Plumbing & Heating Technician your role will involve but not be limited to the following:Ensuring all statutory, planned and breakdown works are completed safely, cost effectively and to the agreed KPI’s and Service Level AgreementTo respond to individual job requests via the job notification system,phoneandradio, including emergency requests. Ensuring each job is seen through to completion. Types of jobs include:Unblocking drainsReplacing fixtures and fittingsFixing leaksInstalling dishwashersRepair and assist with replacement of heating systemsTo investigate unidentified problems,locating services and identifying if problem requires specialist or can be solved inhouseUndertake Legionella testing and water monitoring checks in accordance with current legislation and ACOPSMaintain records and documentation as requiredLiaise with customers and other estates personal to advise and assist with planned and reactive maintenance to cause minimum disruption to staff and other users.Ensure Health and Safety regulations and policies are met which include safe systems of work and risk assessment and asbestos awarenessWhat you’ll bring to the teamThe successful Plumbing & Heating Technician will bring the following skills and experience to the team:Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or training programme to NVQ3/ City and Guilds Advanced Standard or equivalent in HVAC / plumbingProven practical experience of HVAC / plumbing within a similar environment.Experience and demonstration of dealing with high volume of reactive calls and dealing with them in an efficient and effective manner.Experience of managing own workload and managing, prioritisation and customer satisfaction Good interpersonal skills and the confidence to enable effective communication with colleagues at all levels within the organisation. Use of working from mobile platforms, working in confined spaces safe use of mobile tower erection.
