Shape your career and join our global network Function Overview:This role sits inside the Hawk Incentives finance team within the Blackhawk Network UK operations. We are the rewards and benefits experts that help the UKs largest businesses meet their customer and employee engagement goals.As a finance team we:Report the results - Every four weeks we report on the performance of the company. We aim to deliver timely, reliable results to our stakeholders;Provide insight – we use our expertise to analyze the numbers and present our insights to our partners across the business to assist them with their decision making;Safeguard the assets of the company: We achieve this through detailed analysis of the numbers and maintaining a rigorous control environment;Challenge and improve processes: We work in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Every member of the team has a focus on constantly challenging processes and finding better ways to deliver the three points above. As a team and as a business, our core values are: -         Win as One Team-         Be Inspiring-         Be Innovative-         Global Excellence  Key responsibilitiesWe operate as One Team, whilst we have our individual responsibilities, we are also flexible and support each team as and when the need arises.  The key responsibilities in this role include:Processing monthly payroll run through ADPProcessing auto-enrolment pension upload files and corresponding with pension providersResolving internal stakeholders queries in relation to their payrollDealing with correspondence from HMRCProcessing annual returns to HMRC Supporting our HR department processing starters and leaversChecking maternity and sick pay calculationsProcessing salary sacrifice adjustments and upload filesEnsuring “headcount” is allocated to the correct business unit and correct cost centre/departmentEnsuring any intercompany charges are processed in timely mannerHeadcount financial analysis v. budgets/forecastsPreparing and importing GL journals into Finance systemBalance sheet reconciliationsSupporting Finance team with Period End processes where necessary Skills and ExperienceExperience of working in a payroll environment along with a strong understanding of payroll legislation and processesStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly ExcelGreat communication skills to effectively liaise with all levels of stakeholders and be professional and approachableExcellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in processing dataTime management and able to meet deadlinesOne Team – you will value working as part of a team and contributing to the team’s success Inspiring – you embrace change and are motivated to take on complex problemsInnovative – you have previous experience in understanding and improving processes Excellence – you actively pursue self-development and are motivated by opportunities to learn new skills
