Operator - OE & R&O;Gloucester6 months£18.00phOE and R&O; Operators shall conduct a broad range of manual tasks for propeller system products, across both the new manufacturing and repair process areas of Dowty Propellers. Key Activities:The OE and R&O; operators shall perform a variety of the following tasks in accordance with approved work instructions, depending on the business priorities and their skills and experience:Composite blade fabrication, such as material layout, foam injection and RTM processesAssembly of composite blades to metallic components, such as Root Bond of sleevesBlade Overshoe manufactureProduct finishing, such as paint and protective treatmentsDisassemble and cleaning of products to make ready for inspectionComposite blade repairs and application of protective treatments for metallic productsFitment/ Replacement of Leading-Edge Guards and Blade Overshoes.Responsible for Quality & Environmental, Health & Safety standards. Ensure compliance with all company and statutory procedures, specifications, and standards.Operators require a mix of the following (not all)Good understanding of engineering technical drawings or InstructionsComposite manufacturing experienceComposite repair experienceExperience with working with paints, resins, and other chemicalsProduct disassemble and assembly experienceInspection of product and process documentationExperience in the use of hand tools and manufacturing machinery/ equipment.If you feel you would be suitable, please send in your CV
