About the Role: As a Support Worker at our brand new supported living setting in Bo’ness (Woodlands), you will support people with physical & complex needs, learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. You will play a key role in supporting the transition for individuals who will be moving in to the service. You will support with all aspects of every day living to encourage their independence and support them to lead the most fulfilling life possible, incorporating both therapy and social based activities. Whilst no two days are the same typically, you’ll help the people we support with the everyday challenges of personal cares, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication, attending health appointments and taking part in hobbies & activities. Crucially, enabling them to carry out tasks, chores and hobbies that most people take for granted but are really meaningful to the people we support. We have an 18hr contract working 2 nights per week and we also have a 35 hour contract available to cover waking nights. This is also inclusive of bank holidays and weekend working. Due to the needs of the people you will be supporting, we do require applicants to have experience working in the care sector who have obtained their SVQ 2 or 3 preferably.
