NDT L2 Technician

NDT L2 Technician Gloucester, Gloucestershire 6 Month Contract, £25 per hour Role Summary The Non Destructive Testing Technician will be responsible for assessing the internal structure and quality of company manufactured and sub contract parts for blade propeller systems. Assessing for manufacturing defects and structural integrity. This role involves using various techniques and methods depending on the qualification level and area of work of the technician. These methods include: Ultrasonic Testing (UT) - Contact and immersion methods: A, B and C scan Eddy current Testing (ET) - Static and dynamic phase analysis methods Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT) - fluorescent wet continuous method Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT) - Fluorescent Post emulsified, solvent removable Bond Testing (BT) Acid Etch Inspection Qualifications/Requirements Experience of NDT techniques, UT, ET, MT, PT, BT and Acid Etch Inspection. Good level of mathematical skills Able to work on own initiative Able to multi-task and deal with a varied workload. Flexible and willing to support other areas if required Must be certified with required hours on-the-job training and experience using the specified discipline Must be computer literate. Have the ability to ensure all work is undertaken to high standards of safety and quality. Prior experience with ultrasonic inspection of composites desired Must have excellent attention to detail
