Role Responsibility:This role and contract sits within our Facilities Management sector of G4S where we aim to improve the lives of people across the UK and Ireland by creating productive, safe and smooth working environments. We have an opportunity for a Mechanical Building Services Technician to join our team based in Cheltenham. As a Mechanical Technician you'll be responsible for all reactive & preventative maintenance across a variety of critical equipment including boilers, heat exchangers, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and associated plant. You will be responsible for responding as necessary to all incidents as directed to minimise business disruption and operational down time. Key responsibilities will include: Maintenance on all mechanical assets Fault finding Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices Assisting in plant developments and projects Maintaining accurate maintenance records on the site CAFM system Involved in continuous improvement activities, plant inspections and fault investigation work Liaise with the operations team to ensure plant availability Taking part in emergency call outs / off duty cover Taking a proactive support role in delivery of a safe, clean and healthy working environment for all staff Respond to defects, faults and client requests working with others to identify and repair breakdowns.The Ideal Candidate:Skills & Experience: Hands on experience delivering Planned and Preventative Maintenance Practical knowledge of process plant and equipment Experience with installing, assembling fabricating, maintaining and repairs to mechanical piping systems. Fault finding Ability to work in accordance with SLA and KPI’s, site policies, Health & Safety and Compliance Maintaining records and producing reports as required. Requirements: To be successful for this role, you will have experience in working in a commercial or industrial FM service delivery environment. Qualifications: City & Guilds in a mechanical related discipline NVQ qualifications Gas Safe qualification desirable Please be aware that due to the nature of the business vetting is an intrusive and prolonged process.
