Maternity Cover SENCO from April 2021

Maternity Cover Special Educational Needs and Inclusion Coordinator Old Swinford Hospital is seeking to appoint an SEN and Inclusion Coordinator for April 2021. The main purpose of the SEN and Inclusion Coordinator will be to develop, over time, the school’s SEN and AEN provision and manage the day to day support and inclusion of pupils with particular needs into our curriculum and co-curriculum in order to support pupil progress. At OSH, children and young people come first.  Our teachers are the key personnel who deliver this all important aim.  Therefore, the conventional responsibilities of a SENCO will be incorporated into a broader role where one key area of responsibility will be the training of teaching and support staff.  For this reason there will be a very small teaching timetable commitment. We will expect our SEN and Inclusion Coordinator to visit lessons and work with our teachers in helping them fine tune and develop their ability to differentiate with reference to pupils with SEN.
