Maintenance Operative

More about your roleYour role with us will be to ensure the smooth running of the building and carry out a range of different duties focussing mainly on repairs on the building. You will work reactively, completing day to day repairs, which can range from replacing a door, patch plastering a wall to painting rooms and communal areas. However, you will also work with the site manager to manage contractors and plan in any future maintenance including the summer works that takes place when the students have vacated the halls of residence.You will also be responsible for weekly site safety checks and site walks whilst regularly checking the internal database for outstanding jobs in which you will organise necessary action.More about youFor this role you will be able to demonstrate at interview in-depth maintenance skills and knowledge, you must also have a proven track record carrying out day to day maintenance works in a previous position. The ideal candidate will have basic knowledge of joinery, plumbing, decorating and plastering.You should have worked in customer-based roles where you have dealt with a variety of people with proven skills of being able to adapt your communication based on the situation.
