Logistics Co-ordinator

Job Duties:Responsible for efficient procurement of resources for the aerospace division, to support on-time customer deliveries through purchasing based on continuous improvement - lean - principles. Updating customer purchase orders on the Management Information System (MIS) & updating all associated documentation.Responsible for new issue documents and ensuring circulation to appropriate people.Ensuring all quality paperwork is to the required ISO/AS standard.Provide accurate weekly reports for production.Organising external processes and transport arrangements.Work to the ethos of Continuous improvement and Lean processes.Evidence your awareness of aerospace sales, measurable to the customer delivery schedule.Provide accurate and timely sales information.Complete any other reasonable duties required by the company.Work reasonable shift / overtime / flexible hours as requested by the company.Qualifications / Experience:Essential:At least 5 GCSEs at C or above - Maths and English (or equivalent) a must.Fully PC literate in Excel and Word.Capable of working alone using own initiative as well as working within a team.Sound communication skills to build professional relationships with customers and suppliers.Proven planning and organising skills.Disciplined approach to storage of all data both paper and computer files.Willing to continue learning and develop with the company.Willing to work overtime as well as providing cover for absences.Desirable:Relevant further or higher education or relevant degree in a business subject give a strong advantage.Experience in managing internal and external logistics.Experience in working to ISO/AS quality traceability standard.Evidence in previous roles of planning and organising a busy workload.
