Legal Counsel - Construction

OverviewDue to continued growth a national infrastructure company based in Sheffield have an exciting opportunity within their legal function. They are looking to recruit an experienced Construction Lawyer to assist them with a wide range of legal matters.Job Description* Drafting and negotiating standard form building contracts, consultant appointments, tenders, framework agreements, sub-contracts, collateral warranties, bonds/guarantees, novation agreements etc and a good understanding of the main forms of dispute resolution* Understanding of construction related insurances* Managing construction related insurance claims* Ability to upskill other members of the team who do not have a construction background* Must be able to demonstrate excellent people management skills and have the ability to quickly develop successful client relationships* Ability to provide key stakeholders with concise, commercially minded advicePerson Specification * Trained/training with a leading law firm or organisation* A minimum of 4 years PQE gained in construction law (contentious or non-contentious) either in-house or private practice * Excellent communicator and can confidently liaise with senior stakeholders* Desire to progress their in-house careerPlease reach out to ben.fryer@badenochandclark.com for more information.Badenoch + Clark acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
